How we source, check and correct the news posts on My Game Rewards. See also About.
Sources
We trace claims back to official sources first, such as publisher and developer announcements and store pages. We aim to cite at least two of them in each news post. News outlets are credited as further reporting. We do not use fan, leak or tracker accounts as sources or embeds. Every embed and image is credited, and each post lists its sources.
Verification
We check dates and prices against the original source where we can. Times include a timezone. Posts about offers and events have an end date. Once that date passes, the post shows a banner saying the offer or event has ended and that the details are kept for reference. Other posts, such as release news and evergreen guides, get no such banner.
Rumours
If only a news outlet or a leaker reports something, we attribute it to that outlet in the text or label it as unconfirmed. Claims we have traced to an official source are stated plainly. We cannot promise that nothing unconfirmed slips through, which is why we publish corrections.
Dates
Each post shows the date it was published. If we change it later, it also shows an Updated date.
Corrections
To report an error, email mygamerewards.app@gmail.com. When we correct a published post, we change its Updated date. A dated "Corrections and updates" note on the post says what changed.
Copyright and takedown
We use short, credited quotes and embed content from the original platforms. If you are a rights holder and want something removed, email mygamerewards.app@gmail.com with the page address and details.
Advertising independence
This website currently shows no third-party advertising. If that changes, advertising will not influence what we cover or how we cover it.
What we do not do
- We do not present paid placements as news.
- We do not scrape private data.
