Enshrouded's 1.0 release is scheduled for October 15, 2026, and PC Early Access owners get the update without buying the game again. Their existing saves carry over. Keen Games is also giving those players three exclusive decorations, claimed through the escape menu, as the survival RPG reaches its full release.

Claiming the Early Access decorations

Keen's launch FAQ identifies three decorative base props for players who bought during Early Access. Open the escape menu and choose Redeem Add-Ons to collect them. They are a statue, a tome displaying the former Early Access emblem, and a signal-style decoration. These are building pieces, so they do not provide a combat advantage.

The items also have an unusual sharing rule. An Early Access owner can visit another player's world and place the decorations there, including for someone who bought after full release. That newer owner can remove a placed object but cannot place it themselves. Keen says eligible players can claim the items more than once, allowing them to decorate more than one world.

That makes the reward useful to a group with a shared base even if only one friend played during Early Access. The entitlement still belongs to that eligible player. Having a decoration in your world does not turn a later purchase into an Early Access account, and you should ask that friend to place it where you want it to stay.

Existing saves work after the update

The FAQ explicitly says PC Early Access owners do not need to repurchase Enshrouded for 1.0. Existing saves remain usable and are converted to a more efficient format. Keen encourages starting over to see the revised early game, but that is a recommendation, not a mandatory wipe.

The 1.0 changelog explains why a fresh start may feel different. It adds early-region chests, changes recipes to reduce the opening grind, and adjusts roads and camps to improve navigation. A returning group with a developed base can continue its save; a new group can experience those changes from the beginning.

Keep a backup of a world you care about before installing a major update, especially one that converts the save format. Players sharing a server should also coordinate the update so they are ready to return to the same world together.

What opens in the full release

The release-date reveal sets October 15 for 1.0, while the changelog describes the expanded map. Cinder's Cradle sits beyond Veilwater Basin. Its lower area has lava and ruins, with floating Ancient islands higher up. The main story continues through that region and reaches a conclusion for the current Embervale arc.

Progression rises with it: the player level cap becomes 50 and equipment can be upgraded to level 55. The update also adds Hollow Halls in Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin. Nine new spell types expand the mage toolkit, and eternal versions of spells give late-game characters alternatives to managing limited charges.

Keen describes rendering and memory improvements alongside HDR support. Those are developer-reported changes, not a frame-rate guarantee for your PC. The Steam listing remains the place to check current system requirements before buying or returning with a different machine. Hardware, settings and the complexity of a base can affect the experience.

Sparkworks and the cross-platform limit

Sparkworks gives builders a logic system for connecting actions to responses. A pressure plate or lever can operate a door or trap. The changelog expands that into building puzzles, encounters and other playable spaces inside a world, giving a finished base more ways to interact with visitors.

For groups split across platforms, the launch FAQ has a firm limitation: cross-platform play is not available at release. Keen says it is working on the feature and gives no estimate. Plan a launch session around the platforms your friends can already play together on, rather than buying on the assumption that cross-play will arrive on a particular date.

Players arranging their next PC sessions can also check the October Steam Next Fest schedule for free demos, or the Steam Scream festival dates for the next seasonal event. Those are separate store events and do not change the terms of the Enshrouded update or its Early Access rewards.
