Epic Games Store has two free games lined up for the week after this one: Bad Cheese and Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise. Both go free on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 15:00 UTC and stay free until Thursday, October 22 at 15:00 UTC, according to the promotion data behind Epic's Free Games page. Until October 15, the current pair is TerraScape and Out of Sight.
What you get
The two games are very different. Bad Cheese, from the Polish studio Feardemic, is a psychological horror game that borrows the look of 1920s animation. You play a mouse spending a weekend at home with a difficult father while Mom is away, and the store blurb tells you to keep Daddy happy. The US list price is $12.99.
The Steam page for the same game fills in what you do. Most of it is chores: scrub, sweep, make fries, bring Dad his pills, and kill the occasional spider, while treats and action figures are hidden around the house. It is tagged Action and Adventure, was released on Steam on September 1, 2025, and has full English audio with text in a dozen languages. The minimum PC specs ask for Windows 10, an Intel i3, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 1660 and 5 GB of storage, so it needs a reasonably modern machine.
Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise, from Yak & Co, is a lighter, stylish spy adventure. Your job is to infiltrate the hideaway of the enemy spy Ruby La Rouge and stop her plans. It is the pricier of the pair at $19.99 in the US store, so it is where most of the saving sits.
Its Steam listing describes a 1960s-inspired look, 35 environments, 100 inventory-based puzzles across 50 puzzle screens and 30 achievements. It first came out on August 29, 2019 and is far lighter on hardware: Windows 7 64-bit, an Intel i3 at 2.0 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 1 GB of storage. If your PC is older, this is the safer pick.
Prices differ by region, and Epic can change them, so check your own storefront before deciding what is worth the click. The Steam release dates and specs above come from the Steam pages (Bad Cheese); the Epic listing is the place to confirm what the Epic version includes.
How to claim both
Sign in to your Epic account on the Free Games page or on each game's store page after 15:00 UTC on October 15. Choose Get, then Place Order on the free checkout. The order total should read zero. Do this for each game, because they are separate claims.
You do not need to download either game during the window. What counts is adding it to your library before the offer closes on October 22. After that the game stays in your account and you can install it from the Epic Games Launcher whenever you like. If you are new to the programme, our Epic free games guide walks through the process step by step.
When the offer changes
Epic rotates the weekly giveaways at the same hour, so the changeover lands at 15:00 UTC, which is 17:00 in Berlin while European summer time lasts. Europe moves off summer time on October 25 and the US on November 1, so this week's clock times do not shift, but the gap between UTC and your local time can change in the weeks that follow.
If you only care about one of the two, there is no reason to wait for the end of the week. Claim it on October 15 and it stays in your library. Epic has not listed the following week's games on the Free Games page yet, so nothing beyond October 22 is confirmed.
