Halloween: The Game's patch 1.1.1 arrived on October 16, 2026, targeting crashes on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The next content release is October 27, when Tower Farm becomes a free multiplayer map for owners. Additional Michael Myers appearances and two new Civilian characters are sold separately.

What patch 1.1.1 addresses

IllFonic's official Steam patch notes identify an Xbox Series X|S crash associated with Quick Resume and an Xbox Series X shader crash in Performance Mode. The update also fixes crashes when grabbing, during certain gameplay interactions, and while using DLSS or FSR frame generation. The studio lists additional crash fixes without detailing every cause.

If one of those situations interrupted your sessions, install the update before returning to it. The notes describe stability changes, with no measured frame-rate improvement or benchmark attached. A fix for a frame generation crash does not establish a higher average frame rate, and the patch does not promise to eliminate every possible crash.

The version number also separates this release from the larger October content announcement. Tower Farm is still scheduled for October 27. Updating today gives you the crash fixes; it does not bring that map forward to the weekend.

Tower Farm is included for existing owners

The Tower Farm preview places the fifth multiplayer map outside Haddonfield, around a farming community, its harvest festival and a neighbouring trailer park. The route takes players away from the suburban streets into farmland, with barns and farmhouses breaking up the open ground.

IllFonic's content announcement describes a lit filling station as a navigation landmark. Roads and fields can make a route easier to recognise while exposing Civilians during a crossing. Ditches and buildings offer cover. The exposed crossings look worth checking in the trailer before you plan a route between hiding places.

The map trailer shows the layout ahead of release; actual routes and hiding places will need learning in the game. Tower Farm's access is free for people who own the game, which is different from a free giveaway of the base game.

Eugene and Michelle arrive as a paid pair

The October 15 character introduction explains the new Civilians' traits. Eugene's Lurker improves stamina regeneration and stalk degradation while he stays in bushes. Michelle's Therapeutic passes a percentage of the health she gains from health items to nearby characters.

The traits suit different situations. Eugene's trait rewards taking advantage of vegetation; Michelle's gives a reason to consider where teammates are when using a health item. Neither description establishes that one will be the best character for every group. Your preferred role is a better starting point for a buying decision than an untested ranking.

Eugene and Michelle launch on October 27 in a two-character bundle priced at $9.99 USD. The developer's introduction gives that price for the pair. Check your regional store before paying, since the announcement's US dollar amount is not a local price guarantee.

Separate the free map from optional purchases

The October content announcement also lists Michael Myers appearances based on Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and Halloween (2018), priced at $9.99 each. The Civilian costume pack is another $9.99 purchase, with 14 outfits and 42 tints. Those purchases are separate from the map and the free features and fixes.

If you mainly want another place to play, the Tower Farm download is the relevant addition. You can decide on the characters after reading their traits, and on the cosmetics after viewing the store contents. Check the contents of each purchase separately.
