PlayStation Planet of the Deals: Dates and Games

PlayStation Store's Planet of the Deals promotion is running from October 21 to November 4, 2026. Sony says the sale includes hundreds of discounted PS5 and PS4 games in its official promotion announcement. That post names a large selection, from Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3 to Borderlands 4 Deluxe Edition and FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH, but directs shoppers to the Planet of the Deals collection for regional prices. Game selection and the promotion's start and finish times may differ by region.

That regional detail matters more than a single headline price. The PlayStation Blog gives a common promotion window and sample titles, but does not attach one universal discount to each game. The US collection is only a reference point for US accounts. Before buying, open the sale in the PlayStation Store tied to your account and confirm the edition, price and end date shown there.

When does Planet of the Deals end?

Sony's published schedule says the promotion ends Wednesday, November 4 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, British Summer Time and Japan Standard Time. The Blog also warns that start and finish times can differ in certain regions. For that reason, the local store's countdown or product page should be treated as the final word for an individual offer.

The sale began Wednesday, October 21. That gives shoppers a little under two weeks to compare games, check editions and decide whether to buy. A title appearing in the blog's list does not guarantee the same discount or availability in every country. Sony specifically says both the selection and regional sale timing may vary.

Games named in Sony's announcement

The selection spans current releases, older catalog games and bundles. Sony's list includes Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3, Borderlands 4 Deluxe Edition, Monster Hunter Wilds, FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH, Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition, DOOM Eternal Deluxe Edition, Dead by Daylight and several Resident Evil games. It also includes compilations and add-ons such as the Assassin's Creed Mythology pack, the FINAL FANTASY I-VI Bundle and the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Extra Pass.

These examples help narrow a search, but they are not a price ranking. The blog post does not provide a structured discount table or compare each current sale price with the usual price. Check the product listing itself for the version you want. A Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition can have different sale prices, and a bundle may duplicate content you already own.

The list is broad enough to include games across many genres. If you are browsing for a specific series, search the official collection directly, then compare any matching editions. For games with substantial add-ons, check whether the base game is included before choosing a bundle. For multiplayer games, confirm whether the item is a full game, a currency pack or an expansion.

PlayStation also shared the promotion on X. The trailers below come from the games' official YouTube channels and give a quick feel for three titles Sony names in the sale. They do not show a local discount price, so check your regional Store listing before buying.

How to check the price in your region

Use the Planet of the Deals collection linked from the PlayStation Blog or open the Deals section in your own PlayStation Store. Make sure the store is signed into the account and country where you will redeem the purchase. Prices, taxes, currencies and availability are set regionally; a screenshot or price from another storefront may not apply to your account.

Before checkout, verify the product name and edition, then read the product page for included content and platform. A PS4 listing may not be the same product as its PS5 counterpart, and some games sell cross-generation bundles while others use separate editions. If you already own a game, check its library page before buying an upgrade or add-on so you do not pay twice for overlapping content.

The sale notice says hundreds of titles are discounted, but the list is long and regional variation makes a universal “best deal” list unreliable without checking each local price. A useful shortlist starts with games you already planned to play, then compares their current price with the edition you intended to buy. A large percentage label can still represent an expensive bundle, while a smaller discount on a game you want may be the better purchase.

Is Planet of the Deals a free game promotion?

No. This is a discount sale, not a free-to-keep event or a free weekend. The PlayStation Blog describes discounted games for a limited time. A purchase remains a purchase even when the sale price is reduced, and the announcement does not promise free access after the promotion ends.

If you are looking for subscription catalog additions or monthly games, those are separate from Planet of the Deals. Our PlayStation Plus claiming guide explains where to check membership games. Confirm the relevant announcement and your subscription tier before assuming a title in this store promotion is included with a membership.

What to check before November 4

The promotion's published end date is November 4, 2026, but the exact local cutoff may differ. Check the PlayStation Store page for your region, confirm the full edition and included content, and make the purchase before the timer shown there reaches zero. Sony's announcement is a broad guide to the sale; the regional store listing controls the price and availability you actually see.
