Roblox used its developer conference in September 2026 to lay out a plan it calls Roblox Everywhere. The idea is to let players reach Roblox experiences wherever they already spend time, through a browser, a standalone app, or without an internet connection. Some parts arrive this year, others in 2027, and the RDC 2026 newsroom post separates the two. Roblox describes the goal as letting players join games "anywhere, on any device, browser, or platform," and the features below are the concrete steps toward that goal. Each part is covered with the dates the company gave.

Web play in the browser

The most immediate change is web play. By the end of 2026, players will be able to join a game in Chrome from the game's Experience Details Page, with no app and no install. Roblox says more browsers will follow. The company also describes the use case directly: a player clicks a link from search, YouTube, X, a friend's email or a creator's channel and starts playing right away.

For a player, the practical change is that the first session no longer needs an install, because the game opens from a link. The newsroom post does not say how web play will handle account sign-in or device controls, so those details are not yet known.

Standalone apps for creators

Roblox Everywhere also lets creators offer their games as standalone apps on mobile, PC and consoles. The company says this will become an option for creators "soon", and that Roblox will supply the underlying technology and services. The post gives no date for the first standalone release, so treat it as a plan and not a launch schedule.

Offline solo play

Players will be able to keep a game going when the connection drops, on a train or in a place with weak coverage. Creators can enable offline solo play alongside the live multiplayer mode, and Roblox expects to launch it by mid-2027. Early access is due before that, with the post saying it is "coming soon" without a date.

Offline play has the longest timeline of the three. The post does not describe how a player's progress would sync after reconnecting, so creators should wait for more detail before planning around it. Roblox also says players will find every kind of game on the platform, from high-fidelity multiplayer arenas to cozy 2D puzzles they can play offline.

Turn-based notifications

Roblox is also expanding support for asynchronous, turn-based multiplayer games. A notification system will tell a player when it is their turn. It arrives in Studio Beta in October and reaches full release by the end of 2026.

The conference also covered the creator tools behind these games. Roblox said that of the thousands of users who had made a game with Build, 71 percent had never used Roblox Studio before. Creators can now review analytics and add monetization from their phones, and Roblox says they will soon be able to launch ads for their games from their phones as well.

What else is on the calendar

The Roblox Fall Games Preview, published on September 2, lists ten titles for early September through October. Four of them are set for October: Prime Heroes, Octane, Starforged and Scrapbook Saga. The preview gives no exact day for any of them, and Starforged already has early access.

The conference announcement also gave a scale figure, which the company attributes to its own quarterly data. Roblox says players spent 29 billion hours on the platform last quarter, across more than 180 countries. That number is the company's and has not been checked against any outside measure.
