- What changes daily A new maze and one of nine horror-game monsters

Roblox’s The Hollow is a shared Halloween survival event that opens on October 22. Players enter one event hub, find clues in a new maze each day, and evade a monster drawn from nine Roblox horror games. Roblox says a live finale is planned for October 31, while quests will award UGC and other rewards. The company has not named the individual reward items in its announcement, so treat exact item lists posted elsewhere with caution.
Start time and early access
The full event begins at 2 p.m. Pacific Time on October 22, which is 21:00 UTC. Roblox Plus subscribers can enter the hub at noon Pacific, or 19:00 UTC. Those are the times Roblox gives for the event. Availability rules vary by region, and the company describes the event as intended for players aged 9 and older in most regions.
Roblox’s October 10 X teaser showed the date 10.22.26. Its newsroom announcement later supplied the start time and event details that the teaser left out. Roblox also posted the event announcement to its Developer Forum.
One shared maze, nine monsters
Roblox describes The Hollow as one continuous survival experience. A new maze appears each day for nine days, with players looking for clues and avoiding the monster that enters that day. The announcement does not publish a daily order, so there is no confirmed calendar for when each monster appears.
The nine named appearances are The Deer from 99 Nights in the Forest, Seek from DOORS, Twisted Dandy from Dandy’s World, Piggy from Piggy, The Inspector from Scary Shawarma Kiosk, Mimic from Animal Hospital, Biter from Demonology, Hiachi from The Mimic, and The Overseer from Warden. Players can use the list to see which familiar games are part of the event. Roblox has not said that each game will host a separate quest.
Roblox also says creator champions will stream from the hub each day and help players uncover clues. The announcement names LimaMosca, KreekCraft, Bundun and SirDapper. It does not list a stream schedule or explain whether watching those broadcasts unlocks anything, so the in-game quests remain the confirmed route to rewards.
What players can earn, and what costs extra
Completing quests earns exclusive user-generated content and other rewards. Roblox has not published a complete reward list, item-by-item costs, or the quests needed for each item in the newsroom post. The company separately says Halloween avatar items will be available for purchase in Marketplace, including the Hollow Horseman, other limited-time items and seasonal makeup. Keep those paid Marketplace items separate from rewards earned through event quests.
Roblox Plus offers extra access and profile features. Subscribers enter two hours before the public opening and get a profile frame, background and an item launcher that can gift items to other players during the event. Roblox also says a Plus subscriber can keep the event theme after the finale. The announcement does not say that Plus is required to play The Hollow or earn its quest rewards.
For families, Roblox says access is available to Roblox Select or Roblox account holders aged 9 and older in most regions. Age and access rules vary by region. Check the event page in the account that will play before planning a group session.
How long the event runs
Roblox says The Hollow runs through November 2, with the live finale beginning on the morning of October 31. Players can continue collecting rewards until noon PST on November 2. Since the finale and the collection deadline are separate milestones, finishing the final live event does not appear to be the same as the last chance to collect rewards.
The date and time labels above follow Roblox’s wording. Pacific Time changes from PDT to PST on November 1, so the November 2 deadline is correctly expressed as PST. Roblox does not give an exact start time for the finale or a time for the event hub to close, beyond that reward deadline.
Players following the platform’s broader changes can also read our Roblox Everywhere guide, which covers browser play, standalone creator apps and offline play separately from this Halloween event.
