Diablo Immortal's Hallows Phantom begins after the October 21 update and runs through November 11 at 2:59 a.m. server time. The Halloween event turns Defense of Cyrangar into a wave-based challenge. Players earn Hallowed Stones from its quests and can trade them for upgrade materials, crests and limited head cosmetics.
Blizzard's event announcement says Hallows Phantom opens after scheduled maintenance. The event itself lasts longer than the update window, so players do not need to log in during maintenance to start earning its rewards. Blizzard lists a separate time for the Americas maintenance and regional maintenance for Europe and several Asia-Pacific regions.
How Hallows Phantom works
Players start by receiving a gift from the Crone, then face waves of monsters in a Halloween version of Defense of Cyrangar. Daily and weekly quests award Hallowed Stones. Those stones are the event currency used for the rewards listed in Blizzard's announcement.
The official description does not give a full quest checklist or state how many stones each task awards. Check the event panel in game before planning a purchase around a specific total. The published reward list includes Gold, Arcane Dust, Telluric Pearls and Legendary Crests, so the event currency can support both account materials and progression items.
The event also has server-wide leaderboards. Blizzard says the leaderboard prizes are handed out when the event concludes, but the announcement does not specify a scoring formula or list the individual prizes. Treat that as a separate competitive reward path from exchanging Hallowed Stones.
Three limited head cosmetics
Blizzard names Headless Pyre, Headless Miasma and Headless Haunt as limited head cosmetics tied to completing tasks and collecting Hallowed Stones. A Blizzard representative later clarified in the official forum thread that these cosmetics are temporary. Players who want a permanent appearance should check the in-game item description before spending event currency.
The word limited can mean the item is available only during an event, while the cosmetic itself may also have a temporary duration. Here Blizzard has clarified the second point. Use the stones for these cosmetics only if you are comfortable with that limit; the other listed rewards include materials that can help with ongoing character progression.
Long March runs alongside it
Long March is a separate event campaign that starts after the same maintenance and ends November 11 at 2:59 a.m. server time. Tasks award Skeletal Spoils, which can be exchanged for Telluric Pearls, one-star Legendary Gems, a set item of your choice or a selectable Legendary Item Chest. Its weekly tasks refresh on Wednesdays at 3:00 a.m. server time.
That makes the two activities easy to confuse, but they use different reward currencies. Hallows Phantom uses Hallowed Stones for its Halloween shop and leaderboard. Long March awards Skeletal Spoils from campaign tasks. Keep the counters separate when checking whether you have enough progress for a specific item.
The update also includes other scheduled activities, including Trial of the Hordes from October 21 to 27, Fractured Plane from October 28 to November 4, Shady Stock from October 24 to 31 and All Clans on Deck from October 31 to November 7. Those dates are listed in Blizzard's announcement and can help returning players plan around the wider patch.
Spend the stones before November 11
Unused Hallowed Stones are removed when Hallows Phantom ends. Before the final day, open the event interface and compare the remaining currency with the rewards you still want. Blizzard has not published the individual item prices in its announcement, so the in-game shop is the place to confirm what your balance can buy.
