Clash Royale Shocktober 2026: Album, Hero and Event Dates

Clash Royale's October season, called Shocktober, started on October 5, 2026. Supercell's season post adds a new hero, a horror-themed album that unlocks a free Electro Giant Evolution, a Spooky Chess League and three variants of existing modes. The post does not give a time zone for any of its dates, and it does not state a season end date directly, so this guide uses the event dates as listed.

The Shocktober album

The album is called Shocktober: The Movie! and opens from Arena 3. Players collect Snippets in four rarities, Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary, and complete movie poster scenes with them. The official post says Snippets come from daily battle rewards, which offer up to three per day, from other events and from the Shop. Duplicates can be exchanged for a Unique Snippet, which always adds a new Snippet to the album.

Completing the album unlocks the Electro Giant Evolution, an emote and a tower skin. Snippets collected after completion convert into bonus rewards. In the final week of the event, the post says the daily reward Snippets are all Unique Snippets. Drop rates are listed on a separate page, which this guide did not review, so the odds of finishing a given scene are not covered here.

Electro Wizard and the Electro Giant Evolution

The season adds Hero Electro Wizard. His ability, Surging Strikes, lets him stun two nearby enemies at the same time for a few seconds. The official post places the hero in the Upgraded Pass Royale, so players without that track should check the in-game pass screen before planning around him.

The Electro Giant Evolution is the free reward from the album. Its electric pulse expands from the unit and shrinks and de-levels enemies inside its range. The official post describes the Evolution as free through the album, and it does not list a paid route to it.

Spooky Chess League and the timed modes

Spooky Chess runs from October 5 to October 19. The official post describes the league as a match where the player defeats the opponent's wall of troops and towers and destroys their King while defending their own. Up to two badges are on offer: one for completing the league road and one for finishing in the top 10,000 on the leaderboard.

Three C.H.A.O.S variants run during the season. C.H.A.O.S Blackout runs from October 19 to October 26, C.H.A.O.S Draft from October 19 to November 2, and C.H.A.O.S Power Surge from October 26 to November 2. The post adds 20 new cards for the mode set and mentions a secret badge without giving details.

The Power Surge Global Tournament runs from October 20 to October 25. Competing earns an exclusive badge, and the top 10,000 players receive a Leaderboard Finisher Badge. The 20-Win Challenge runs from October 26 to November 2 and rewards an emote for winning 20 games with fewer than three losses.

What the official post leaves open

The post names a community event called Keep the Lights On. Each day a player wins one battle and picks a reward from a red or blue side of a grid. Those choices add or subtract energy from a shared power source, and the energy left at the end sets a reward for everyone. The post gives no dates or further mechanics for this event, so it should be treated as unscheduled.

The post also gives no end date for the season itself. The album, the movie event and the 20-Win Challenge all run to November 2, and the C.H.A.O.S Draft and Power Surge run to the same day, which is why this guide uses November 2 as the expiry. A reader should check the in-game event calendar for the exact cutoff, since the official page does not state a time zone.
