The Elder Scrolls Online added the Greymoor Chapter and Wolfhunter dungeon DLC to its base game at no extra cost on October 19. All ESO players can now access Western Skyrim, the Antiquities system, the Kyne's Aegis trial and the Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices dungeons.

ZeniMax's October 19 announcement says the Greymoor Chapter and Wolfhunter DLC have moved into ESO's base game. The change gives all players access without purchasing those two pieces of DLC separately. The move is part of the lead-up to Season Two, Echoes of Skyrim, which begins October 21.

What Greymoor adds

Greymoor opens Western Skyrim and its connected story. The included Antiquities system lets players search for and excavate relics, while the chapter's Kyne's Aegis is a 12-player trial. ESO's official guide names all three as part of the content now available at no extra charge.

To begin the story, open Collections, choose Stories and find Greymoor under Chapters. The official announcement says this grants the opening quest. Players who have not visited Western Skyrim can start there, then follow the story into Blackreach and the rest of the chapter content.

Antiquities gives returning players another reason to explore. The system sends characters after clues and artifacts, which can turn exploration across Tamriel into a separate collection activity. ESO also notes that Antiquities recently received quality-of-life updates, so new players can learn the system under the current version of the game.

Wolfhunter includes two group dungeons

Wolfhunter adds Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices, two four-player PvE dungeons. Players can queue for them through Dungeon Finder. Both remain group challenges, and they are distinct from the solo versions launching with Season Two on October 21.

The distinction is useful for new players. The free Wolfhunter content now covers the original group dungeons, while the upcoming solo versions are redesigned experiences with their own difficulty options and rewards. Our ESO solo dungeons guide covers those separate versions, including Companion support and challenge modifiers.

All players can access the content

The announcement says all ESO players can access the included content at no additional cost. It does not describe the change as a time-limited claim window, so players do not need to rush to claim an offer before a stated deadline. The content has become part of the base game.

If the chapter does not appear immediately, check the Collections menu and the game's update status. For Greymoor, the opening quest is in Collections under Stories and Chapters. For the two group dungeons, ESO directs players to Dungeon Finder. Kyne's Aegis is a 12-player trial, so plan for a larger group rather than entering as a solo quest.

The ESO October survival guide on Steam also lists the October 19 access change and the Witches Festival beginning October 21. The Season Two page outlines the broader schedule through January 27, 2027, including later content moving into the base game.

Why the change matters for returning players

Players who previously owned only the base game now have a wider story area and more group content available through the same game access. Western Skyrim, Antiquities, the trial and both dungeons give different types of players a way into the new material: story exploration, relic hunting, larger raids or four-player PvE runs.

Players can use the new content to join friends moving into Season Two. The trial and dungeons still have their usual group sizes and gameplay requirements. Our ESO High Seas of Tamriel rewards guide covers a separate event that ended October 14.

The announcement concerns the base game content entitlement, while access to ESO itself still depends on the platform and account you use. Existing players can check their Collections menu for the Greymoor story and use Dungeon Finder for the Wolfhunter group content. The update does not turn the four-player dungeons into solo activities.
