Two free in-game rewards are open on October 3, 2026. The Hatsune Miku decals in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds close on October 4 at 16:59 PT (23:59 UTC), and the Dying Light: The Beast anniversary rewards can be claimed until October 19 at 05:00 PT (12:00 UTC). After this weekend only the Dying Light calendar is left, and a new CrossWorlds event follows on October 9.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Hatsune Miku decals (ends Oct 4)

The second Hatsune Miku crossover in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds lets you collect 13 decals by earning Festival Points. SEGA Asia's announcement video gives the schedule as October 2, 08:00 to October 5, 07:59 in UTC+8. That is October 1 at 17:00 PT (October 2, 00:00 UTC) until October 4 at 16:59 PT (23:59 UTC), which lands at 00:59 BST on Monday in the UK. Miku is one of the guest racers the same description lists as a free update, so the event is free content for owners of the game.

There is no claim button. You earn points by playing races during the window, so the useful move is to play a few rounds before the cutoff and spend the points on the decals you want. Sega publishes no regional restriction, and the in-game event timer shows your local end time.

What comes next in CrossWorlds

The game's official account posted the October calendar on September 30. It puts the World Championship Finals and a Year Two Showcase livestream on October 9, the Avatar Legends DLC on October 13 and Legends Competition Round 8 on October 22.

The Avatar Legends Pack is not a freebie. Sega's video description lists it with the Season One content that came with the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Season Pass, next to the Minecraft, SpongeBob, PAC-MAN, Mega Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles packs. Owners of the Season One Season Pass should get it on October 13, and everyone else should expect to pay. No separate price has been published.

Dying Light: The Beast anniversary rewards (ends Oct 19)

Techland's Update 1.7 notes on Steam describe Crane's Anniversary Drops, a 21-day reward calendar on the Outpost web hub that began on September 21. Daily logins unlock in-game dockets, store points and weapon skins with blueprints. The calendar's 21st day is October 11, and Techland allows catch-up claims until October 19 at 14:00 CEST (12:00 UTC, 05:00 PT). After that, unclaimed rewards are gone for good. That leaves eight days of slack, so a missed login is not a loss yet.

Two rewards have their own Steam announcements: the Goldie Shots weapon reward, posted on September 25, and the Castor Keychain, posted on September 28. The notes also mention anniversary rewards for the Call of the Beast community event, a three-week event with weekly global goals that started the same day and is redeemed through the Outpost page.

The weapon pack that already ended

Steam sells the Dying Light: The Beast Discharge Weapon Pack, which holds the Discharge Machete and the VNC Weapon Charm, at $4.99. It sits at $3.99 in the Autumn Sale, which our Steam Autumn Sale guide dates to October 8. GamingHQ reported that the pack was free to keep until September 24 on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox for owners of the base game. Techland's Steam announcements do not mention that giveaway, so the free window rests on GamingHQ alone. It is over either way, and the pack is paid now.

How to catch the next free DLC

Free DLC tends to come in three shapes: store giveaways that stay on your account, event rewards that depend on playing during a window, and season content that only looks free because you already paid. The first kind is worth acting on first, since you keep it. The second needs a login or a few matches before the deadline. The third, like the Avatar Legends Pack, needs a check of what your edition includes.

For any offer, note the end time and its time zone, not just the date. Sega publishes in UTC+8 and Techland in CEST, while most readers think in their own local time. Follow the publisher's official social account or Steam announcements for the games you own, because that is where end dates appear first.
