Fallout 76 update 1.7.27.11 went live after maintenance on October 20, 2026. Bethesda's notes list fixes for event rewards, quest progress, C.A.M.P. items, clothing, gameplay and Infestations. The update also increases Scrip rewards for completing an Infestation, while Bethesda says it is still investigating reports of Infestations completing automatically.

Download size by platform

Bethesda's October 20 Fallout 76 patch notes give approximate download sizes: about 6.7 GB on Steam, 18.5 GB through the Microsoft Store on PC, 18.4 GB on Xbox and 17.4 GB on PlayStation. The sizes differ by platform, and the notes label them as approximate. Players should leave extra free space available because the download size may not equal the final space used after installation.

The patch is version 1.7.27.11. Bethesda Game Studios posted that maintenance had finished and directed players to the release notes. The Steam listing identifies the PC version's store page, while the patch notice gives the current download size. Installation time can vary with connection speed and device storage.

Event and quest fixes

The patch addresses a reward issue in Tunnel of Love that prevented unique C.A.M.P. and food recipes from dropping. Daily Ops: Uplink also gets a dialogue fix for the final exchange that could appear under the wrong non-player character.

Several fixes target the current Slasher content. Bethesda says the Mask of Truth quest's article clippings should now persist across character loads. Another fix prevents players from advancing The Slasher: Masked Truth by collecting a note dropped by someone else. A separate change closes an issue that let players repeatedly use a grave-digging map from their stash.

These changes are useful if you ran into a quest step that did not save or a reward that failed to appear. The notes do not say that every missing item will be granted retroactively, so players with an unresolved problem should check their inventory and contact Bethesda Support if the expected reward is still absent.

Infestation rewards and a known issue

Completing an Infestation now gives a higher Scrip reward. Bethesda also says it knows about Infestations that automatically complete and is investigating a solution. That issue is still open in the published notes, so players should not assume the October 20 patch fixes it.

The update also fixes a problem that prevented the legendary perk Electric Absorption from triggering against Infestation enemies. The boss skull indicator on the encounter health meter should no longer overlap the boss name. These are separate fixes from the increased Scrip reward.

If an Infestation ends unexpectedly, note the time, platform and what happened before reporting it through Bethesda's official support channels. That information can help separate the unresolved auto-completion issue from the perk and display bugs already listed as fixed.

C.A.M.P. and equipment changes

The Workshop menu now places Abandoned Nest under Resource Collectors, and the item has a callout for the resources it collects. Bethesda added a premium flag to the Poseidon Energy Console. Several outfits, including Holiday Belle, Black Ice, Lucky Shot and Enclave Technician, can now be crafted at the Armor Workbench.

The patch also fixes a Cobby Collectron issue involving the type of Fertilizer it granted, missing textures on the Atomic Light Set lamps, wallpaper inconsistencies in the Penitentiary C.A.M.P. Kit and several placement issues with the Hunter's Blind Survival Tent and Pint-Sized Slasher Wanted Posters. Some of these are visual or menu changes rather than new items, so check the exact item name in the Workshop menu if a build piece seems to have moved.

On equipment, the Cutthroat Helmet now displays its protection against airborne hazards when inspected. Bethesda corrected the weight shown for the Poseidon Energy Outfit and Headwear to 0.1, fixed the Enclave Hellfire Helmet's light display, and adjusted hair clipping through the Enclave Scientist Outfit.

Other gameplay and audio fixes

Flares now fall with gravity after being shot, and Cupid's Arrow audio should play as expected. The patch also removes a nonfunctional Breaking News broadcast that could appear in the Radio tab. Mad Dog Malone now uses a Minigun, which prevents him from searching for another weapon and charging players with his fists.

The complete Bethesda article lists additional smaller fixes across gameplay, outfits and building pieces. If you are trying to confirm one specific item, use the official notes rather than a community checklist, since Bethesda's page is the source for the exact version and changes.
