Put the November 20 deadline on individual items
The official announcement gives an overall closing date of November 30 at 23:59 in the stated regional zones. It also says certain discounts finish November 20 at 23:59, while some offers will be replaced. Check the date attached to each product you are considering.
For the US schedule shown here, the sale opens November 4 at 00:00 PST and closes November 30 at 23:59 PST. Sony also names GMT and JST schedules for other regions. These are regional clocks, not one simultaneous worldwide start; a screenshot from another country's store can therefore show a different state.
The November 16 refresh gives you a reason to look again if nothing on your shortlist appeals now. It does not guarantee that an existing discount improves on that date. Waiting for the refresh is a choice to weigh against the listed end date on the specific offer you already want.

Use the preview as a shortlist, not a price table
ASTRO BOT is one of the named preview games. If you have been considering it, the official launch trailer below is a way to judge the game itself before following a discount. The trailer predates this promotion and does not show the current sale price.
God of War Ragnarök also appears in the announcement's full list, while Marvel's Wolverine is highlighted as a Digital Deluxe Edition. Those names matter when comparing results: a base game, a deluxe bundle and an add-on may all have separate prices. Compare the included content before treating a cheaper listing as the better deal.
Other preview entries include Valheim and Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred Standard Edition. Pick the games you expect to play and inspect their individual listings. The sale covers DLC too, so make sure an expansion is compatible with the base game version you own.
Read the product page for your account's region
The US Black Friday store page is the destination for that region's promotion. Sony warns that discounts and availability differ by region. Its advertised maximum of 75% does not mean every named title receives that reduction.
Compare the edition description and platform badges before looking only at the saving. This promotion spans PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 content, so a game appearing under the same sale banner does not establish compatibility with every PlayStation device. Check any required base game or hardware before purchasing an add-on.
