Pokémon GO Buddy Trek: Bramblin and Reward Deadlines

Pokémon GO's Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek runs until October 19, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Bramblin debuts during the event, and free Timed Research includes a Pikachu wearing a marathon visor. Finish that research and claim it before the event closes. Unlocked rewards on the event GO Pass have a later deadline: October 21 at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Finding Bramblin

The Buddy Trek announcement lists Bramblin encounters through GO Pass tasks and Incense. Its Incense list excludes Daily Adventure Incense. Check which item you are selecting before using it; the similar names make it easy to choose the wrong one when you are already walking.

The announcement does not promise an encounter from every use. Treat a Bramblin encounter as a possible result and plan around the routes the event actually lists. If your main goal is the new Pokédex entry, read the event tasks before spending resources on a different objective. That gives you a concrete place to start without assuming that every reward track leads to the same encounter.

Keep the two claim deadlines separate

Timed Research has a completion deadline as well as a claim deadline. Leaving a finished task on its reward screen is an unnecessary risk near closing time. Before your last session ends, open the research and check whether anything still needs collecting.

The event pass is a separate screen to check. Its extra claim period is useful for unlocked rewards, but it should not become a reason to postpone unfinished research. Put a reminder against the activity you still need to do. A reminder labelled only "Pokémon event ends" leaves too much to work out when it appears.

For a shorter session, choose the reward you care about first and work backwards from its requirements in the app. A player collecting a costume encounter may make different choices from someone concentrating on pass progress. You do not need to finish every available activity for a session to be worthwhile.

The monthly October pass continues separately

The October GO Pass announcement gives the monthly track its own schedule. Progression closes November 3 at 10:00 a.m. local time; unlocked rewards expire November 5 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Its free track includes a Kyogre encounter, while the Lucky Trinket belongs to Deluxe.

Paying for a track is a separate decision from collecting what the free track already offers. Check the rewards visible in your account and decide whether you want those particular extras. Buying because an event is nearly over can leave you with less time to use the purchase than you expected.

A useful check before your last walk

Open the event research before setting off, identify the unfinished requirement, and decide whether your planned route suits it. Check your connection and battery before leaving a reward claim until the final minutes. Those practical checks are more useful than trying to fit every event objective into one trip.

If you use a calendar reminder, include the pass name and the words "claim unlocked rewards" in its title. Keep the research reminder separate and earlier. That small amount of detail saves you from opening the wrong screen when the notification arrives.
