The Groudon encounter may be shiny, according to the event post, but that is not guaranteed. Players who want Groudon should treat the pass as a chance to work toward an encounter rather than a promise of a shiny Pokémon.
The Pokémon GO Help Center describes the pass as a timed reward track. An unlocked reward still needs to be claimed before the pass rewards expire.
Deluxe prices and coin total

Consider whether the extra items and points match the rewards you would use before paying.
Upgrading through the Pokémon GO Web Store also includes a gift with purchase. Deluxe buyers there get Ultra Balls, Max Revives, a Premium Battle Pass and Max Potions. The Deluxe plus 10 ranks purchase includes an additional Premium Battle Pass, while the web-only Ultra Box bundles more supplies with the pass. The no-cap weekend is near the end
From November 28 at midnight through November 29 at 11:59 p.m. local time, the pass has no daily limit on earned GO Points. This is the final weekend before the December 1 pass end, making it a catch-up window for players who have not reached their target ranks.
Major milestone bonuses unlock at ranks 1, 25, 50 and 75. The listed benefits include an extra Candy for trading, a guaranteed Candy XL for eligible level 31 and above Trainers, more gift openings and storage, longer Daily Adventure Incense and increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs. Deluxe increases the gift limits at rank 25.
