Pokémon GO's Halloween 2026 celebration runs in two parts. Part I starts Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m. local time and ends Sunday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Part II begins at the same moment Part I ends and runs until Thursday, November 5 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Every start and end time is local, so the UTC equivalent depends on where you play. The official pages for Halloween 2026 Part I and Halloween 2026 Part II are the source for every date below.

Part I: costumed Pokémon and Trick or Treat
Part I brings three new costumed Pokémon: Pikachu in a hat and capelet, Zubat in a top hat, and Sinistea wearing a bow. Each one has a chance to be shiny. Wild Pokémon also appear in Halloween outfits, including Duskull, Piplup in a Halloween Mischief costume, and Drifblim in the same costume.
The Trick or Treat mechanic works through spooky surprises that mischievous Pokémon leave in the wild. Tapping one can give an encounter with an event Pokémon, Pikachu Candy, Zubat Candy, Sinistea Candy, or Rare Candy. Event-themed Field Research tasks also run for the whole period, and completing them earns encounters with the same Pokémon.
Two smaller things are worth knowing. Avatar items go on sale in the in-game shop during the event and stay available afterward. Event stickers come from spinning PokéStops, opening gifts, and buying them in the shop. The official page also says a remix of the Lavender Town music plays nightly during the event, and the video below is that remix.
Part II: Mega Sableye and Shiny Greavard
Part II starts on Sunday, November 1 and runs through Thursday, November 5. The headline is Shiny Greavard, which makes its first appearance in Pokémon GO. Players can meet it in the wild, or through GO Pass and Field Research tasks, and it has a shiny form as well.
Mega Sableye is the other big change. Starting with this event, its Mega Level can be raised all the way to Super Max Level, which the game had not offered for Sableye before. Mega Sableye also gets an extra Charged Attack, Night Shade+, while it is Mega Evolved. Other Halloween encounters in this part include Litwick, Rowlet in a Pokémon Halloween costume, and Gengar in a Spooky Festival costume.
Reading the times in UTC
The official pages give times in local time, so the UTC figures below are examples, not a single answer. They were calculated for two common reference points.
For the Pacific time zone, the start of Part I on October 27 is 10:00 a.m. PDT, which is 17:00 UTC. The end of Part I on November 1 is 10:00 a.m. PST, which is 18:00 UTC, because the US clocks change that morning. The end of Part II on November 5 at 8:00 p.m. PST is 04:00 UTC on November 6.
For the United Kingdom, clocks already moved back to GMT on October 25, so 10:00 a.m. London time is 10:00 UTC on both October 27 and November 1. Players in other regions should use their own clock, since the official pages confirm times by local time and not by a fixed offset.
Some availability depends on region. The official pass page notes that event tickets and the Deluxe upgrade can vary by region, so check the in-game store for what your account can buy.
GO Pass: Halloween 2026
Trainers receive GO Pass: Halloween 2026 automatically at 10:00 a.m. local time on October 27. Progress through the pass by completing Pass Tasks and collecting GO Points runs until 8:00 p.m. local time on November 5. Rewards that have been unlocked expire at 8:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, November 7, so claim them before then.
The Deluxe upgrade costs US$7.99 on the official page, and a Deluxe plus 10 Ranks option costs US$9.99. The second option also grants enough GO Points to reach Rank 11 automatically. Deluxe holders keep every reward from ranks they have already unlocked, even if they upgrade in the middle of the pass.
The pass adds event bonuses at major milestones. The free track includes 2x Candy for catching Pokémon, and Deluxe adds 3x Candy and 3x Stardust. Deluxe also gives extra encounters and Rare Candy XL.
The GO Pass for October ends earlier, on November 3, so it does not overlap with Part II. If you want the mechanics explained from the start, see how the GO Pass works. For the full list of Pokémon GO events and rewards, visit Pokémon GO rewards.
