Pokémon UNITE will end service on March 23, 2027 at 00:00 UTC on Nintendo Switch and mobile. After that, players cannot log in or take part in battles. A new library feature will let players keep viewing some of their records and items, provided they download its required data before the shutdown.
The official end-of-service notice also confirms that Aeos gem sales and new UNITE Club subscriptions stopped on October 27, 2026 at 05:00 UTC. Automatic renewals stopped at the same time. Existing members keep their benefits through the end of their current membership period, and players can use gems already held until service ends.
Download the library before March 23
The library is scheduled to arrive on November 12, 2026 at 04:00 UTC. According to the feature announcement, the necessary asset data downloads during normal play or when a player first opens the feature after it becomes available. Make sure the download completes before March 23 at 00:00 UTC. Anyone who reaches shutdown without it will not be able to start using the library afterward.
The device matters. Pokémon UNITE says library data generally cannot be transferred when changing devices, and support for the feature will end with service. If you plan to keep an old phone or Switch for your memories, complete the download on that device and contact support about any problems while the service is still running. The announcement does not promise a way to recover the library on a replacement device after closure.

What stays in the library
The library is a way to revisit selected content, not a continuation of online matches. Players will be able to view owned Unite licenses and Holowear, change the appearance of their favorite Pokémon on the main menu, and visit a Practice Area to see moves and Holowear effects. A closet will display owned Trainer fashion items.
The feature will also preserve views of eligible Unite Snapshots, achievements and tournament participation. Battle items, held items and boost emblems will be viewable, but the announcement recommends finishing emblem merges and held-item upgrades before service ends. That is worth adding to your checklist if you care about how those records appear later.
The developers are also working on a way to revisit special memories with Pokémon. They have not described a complete export of the online game.
Free event and Unite coins arrive in November
The November 12 update adds a Unite Coin Exchange, missions and a login bonus. Players will be able to exchange special Unite coins for returning items, including Unite licenses, Holowear, Trainer fashion and snapshot items. The official announcement says wins in ranked and other battle modes will award one or more coins through the missions.
These Unite coins are the event currency described for the exchange. Aeos gems are the paid currency whose sales have stopped. Check the event screen for its requirements and available items when it opens; the publisher has not supplied a complete item-by-item price list in the announcement.
If you earn a favorite item during the event, remember to download the library data as well. Open the feature on the device you intend to keep and let the download finish before the deadline.
What happens to subscriptions and competition
New UNITE Club memberships and automatic renewals stopped at 05:00 UTC on October 27. Current members retain benefits for their existing membership period. If you manage subscriptions through a platform account, check the subscription screen for its current status rather than assuming every store displays the change at the same moment.
The Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo competition is still planned, with qualifiers beginning December 5, 2026. Game service still ends March 23.
