Steam Sale Calendar 2026 to 2027: Every Date Valve Lists

Valve's Steamworks schedule of upcoming events puts the next Steam-wide sale on December 17, 2026. Steam Scream V Fest comes first, running October 26 to November 2, but it is a themed event rather than a seasonal sale. Below is the full list of dates Valve has published for the rest of 2026 and into 2027.

Seasonal sales

Valve runs four Steam-wide sales a year. The Autumn Sale 2026 has already finished, as covered in our Steam Autumn Sale 2026 post. The Winter Sale 2026 is the next one, and it spans the turn of the year. The Spring Sale 2027 runs March 18 to 25, and the Summer Sale 2027 runs June 24 to July 8. Valve has not dated the Autumn Sale 2027.

Any game released at least 30 days before a sale's start date can join with a discount, according to Valve's rules. Developers enter their discounts for each event through the Discount Management page in Steamworks. Readers who want to know which titles will be cut should therefore wait for the event's storefront to open rather than relying on a calendar date alone.

Themed fests this autumn

Themed fests are smaller events built around one kind of game. Valve says discount games are prioritized in them, but free games, Coming Soon titles and games with demos can also take part. Four of them fall in the next seven weeks.

Steam Cooking Fest runs October 12 to 19, 2026, for games about cooking and feeding people. Steam Next Fest follows from October 19 to 26, with free demos. Its Steam store page for the October 2026 edition is already live, and our Next Fest post covers that week in detail. Steam Scream V Fest runs October 26 to November 2 and is aimed at horror games plus games that are explicitly Halloween-centric. Steam Auto-Battler RPG Fest closes the year's autumn run from November 16 to 23, for games where your units fight on their own once you have upgraded them.

Scream is the event many people have in mind when they search for a Steam Halloween sale. Valve describes it as a fest, so expect a horror-themed storefront with discounts on eligible titles, not a separate seasonal sale. Halloween-themed games that are not horror may fall outside its scope, so check the eligibility notes on Valve's page before you assume a title qualifies.

The 2027 calendar

Valve's list continues into the new year with a dense run of fests. Desktop Companion Fest is January 14 to 18, 2027, and Shop Keeper Fest is January 25 to February 1. Sheep Fest runs February 4 to 8, Couch Co-Op Fest February 8 to 15, and Steam Next Fest for February 22 to March 1. Rhythm Fest takes March 8 to 15, followed by Dinos vs. Robots Fest from March 29 to April 5, and Racing Fest from April 12 to 19.

Spring picks up with Witch Fest on April 22 to 26 and Fighting Fest on April 26 to May 3. Real-Time Strategy Fest runs May 10 to 17, Mountaineering Fest May 31 to June 3, and the June Next Fest June 14 to 21. The Summer Sale follows on June 24. Valve's text does not give the start hour for any of these, so check the Steamworks page before you plan a launch or a purchase around one.

Valve's list also names a Medieval Fest 2026 without dates, so it is not included here.

How to use this list

Treat this page as a snapshot from October 10, 2026. Valve adds and moves events, and this post will be checked again on December 1 before the Winter Sale starts. If a date matters for a purchase or a release, open the Steamworks page first, because it is Valve's own list and the only source here that sets the dates.
