Clash of Clans Portal Panic Medal Event: Dates and Rewards

The Portal Panic Medal Event in Clash of Clans started on October 8, 2026 at 08:00 UTC and ends on October 25 at 08:00 UTC. You need Town Hall 6 or higher to join, and the Rift Medals you earn can be spent in the Trader shop until October 27 at 08:00 UTC. The top prize is the Portal Pendant, a new Epic Equipment item for the Minion Prince.

How the event works

Supercell's event post describes a short loop. You win Home Village battles to collect Sour Elixir, which pours into the Sour Elixir Fountain that Builder Imp uses to get home. Filling the fountain moves you along the Event Track, which pays out rewards along the way, including temporary troops and Rift Medals. The Event Pass adds a second reward line and speeds up the grind.

Rift Medals are spent in the Trader shop, which stocks Epic Equipment for the Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Grand Warden, Royal Champion and Minion Prince, plus magic items such as Books, Runes, the Shovel of Obstacles and Wall Rings. It also sells potions, the three Ores (Starry, Glowy and Shiny), and bulk Elixir, Gold and Dark Elixir.

Watch the end time. The event ends on a Sunday morning in Europe, at 10:00 in Helsinki after the clocks change and 08:00 in London, and at 01:00 PT on the same day for players on the US West Coast. The shop stays open for two more days, so medals you earn up to the final minute can still be spent on Tuesday, October 27.

The Portal Pendant

According to Supercell, the Minion Prince opens a cosmic rift that recalls him and nearby friendly troops and Heroes back to the army bar, so you can redeploy them anywhere on the battlefield. Recalled units come back partly healed with a temporary speed boost, and the Prince is healed instantly whenever the portal activates. If he would take fatal damage, the portal fires automatically and saves him. Siege Machines are not affected.

Upgrades raise the portal radius, the Recall Capacity, the healing and the length of the speed boost. If you are at Town Hall 9 or higher, Supercell has scheduled a boost that raises the Pendant to its maximum level from October 20 at 08:00 UTC (01:00 PT) until the event ends on October 25. You get five days to try it at full power before you decide how to spend the rest of your medals.

The temporary troops

Five Clash-O-Ween troops return on the Event Track, and one of them is new. The Totem Thrower hits hard from six tiles away and can target any ground unit. His first attack and every fourth attack after it throws a cursed totem that stuns nearby defenses and drops a stationary Tiny Totem. Both air and ground defenses can target the totems, and they lose health on their own, so they eventually fall apart even if nobody touches them.

The returning troops are the Lavaloon, the Witch Golem, the Royal Ghost and the Giant Skeleton. The Lavaloon prioritizes Air Defenses and leaves Lavaloon Pups behind. The Witch Golem summons Skeletons as it walks and bursts into Big Boys when it falls. The Royal Ghost cannot be targeted for the first 12 seconds after deployment and slows what it hits. The Giant Skeleton detonates for heavy area damage when it dies.

Other October dates around the event

The event sits inside the Cosmic Curse: Portal Panic season, which runs October 1 to 31. Supercell's season post lists several dates that overlap with it.

• Battle Options, The Second Curse, October 17 to 21: from Town Hall 6, pick temporary troops or Sour Elixir in the middle of an attack. Supercell says it helps if you are racing to stock up before the medal event ends.
• Cosmic Streak, October 16 to 31: attack at least once a day for seven days in a row, in the Home Village or Builder Base, with a countdown that appears on October 15. Rewards must be claimed by November 1.
• October Clan Games, October 22 to 28.
• Resource Collector Boosts, October 12 to 14 and October 26 to 28, with 4x production from Town Hall 8.

Supercell's season post also teases that the Star Bonus could "start seeing double" if enough players keep streaks alive, and labels it unconfirmed, so take it as a hint.

Planning your medals

Because the Pendant is boosted at the end, earn steadily and hold some medals until you have seen it at full level. If you have no use for the Minion Prince, the shop's Ore packs and Equipment for your main Hero are the usual alternatives. Check the in-game Event Hub for your exact track progress, because reward tiers and prices are shown there and can differ by Town Hall.
