Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen launches on October 9, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. RPG Site reports the launch date and prices from Capcom's announcement. Capcom's own launch trailer is dated October 9 in UTC, which matches that date. The Switch 2 version is the first time Dragon's Dogma 2 has been released on that console.
What the bundle includes
The $49.99 bundle contains the original Dragon's Dogma 2 and the Dark Arisen expansion. On all four platforms it carries the same list price. Owners on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC can buy the expansion on its own for $29.99, which is $20.00 less than the bundle. RPG Site does not list a separate expansion price for Switch 2, so a Switch 2 player who wants the expansion needs the bundle.
The arithmetic is simple, but it changes the decision. A player who already owns the base game on another platform pays $20.00 less for the expansion alone. A player who starts on Switch 2 has no cheaper route to the expansion content in the listings reviewed here.
Switch 2 is the first Dragon's Dogma 2 release on Nintendo hardware
The Switch 2 version bundles the base game with the Dark Arisen expansion content. RPG Site describes it as the first release of the game on Switch 2 and notes no Switch 2-only features beyond that bundle. Nintendo's store page for the Switch 2 version, titled "Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen for Nintendo Switch 2", is the listing a buyer should check for the current price in their region. The release date and prices in this post come from RPG Site.
Two sources cover this release for different purposes. Capcom's channel supplies the official video record and the dates of each post in UTC, while RPG Site supplies the prices and the platform list. If a store shows a different price at checkout, the store's price is the one that applies.
Prices shown in stores can differ from the list price by region and by retailer, and this post uses the list prices from RPG Site. A reader buying in another country should confirm the figure on the store page before paying.
Capcom's launch videos
Capcom USA posted a short run of videos in the days before launch. The first was a welcome message presented by Ron Perlman, dated October 7 in UTC. A pre-launch stream followed on October 8 UTC, and the launch trailer was posted on October 9 UTC. All three are on the Capcom USA channel, and the two embeds below are the clearest starting points for readers who want to see the expansion before buying.
Readers who want a single video should start with the launch trailer.
The same channel also posted a video titled "The Capcom Collectibles - Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Edition" on October 9 in UTC. The title suggests a collectible edition exists. This post does not cover that edition's contents or price, and readers should check Capcom's store listings for them.
The official pages reviewed for this post do not state a launch hour. Local release times therefore remain unconfirmed here, and anyone planning to play at launch should check the storefront for their region on the day.
Planning a purchase
If you already own the base game on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC, the $29.99 expansion is the cheaper route. If you are buying the game for the first time on Switch 2, the $49.99 bundle is the only listed option that includes both parts. A player on another platform who has never owned the base game also needs the bundle, not the expansion alone.
