Helldivers 2's Liberty Day gift is the AR-23L Liberator Legacy, a rifle inspired by equipment from the First Galactic War. Arrowhead says distribution takes place at the end of the October 26 celebration. If you log in before then and cannot find it, the absence of an immediate reward is consistent with the announced schedule.
The PlayStation Blog announcement contains an eligibility detail worth checking before rearranging your day: its footnote says the rifle is available to players who have played since September 26, 2026 at 00:00 CET. The main article encourages players to log in and participate, but the footnote gives a longer activity window than a single day.
When the Liberator Legacy is awarded
The listed distribution time is October 26 at 23:59 CET, equivalent to 22:59 UTC. That is 10:59 p.m. GMT in the UK and 6:59 p.m. EDT in New York. Central Europe has returned to standard time by October 26, so CET is the applicable local zone for that evening.
Treat the time as the announced distribution point. Arrowhead does not give a delivery guarantee for every individual account at the exact same second. Arrowhead lists no redemption code or separate rifle purchase. Its instructions concern player activity during the eligibility window.
The official teaser shows the weapon's retro theme. It does not establish new damage figures or a comparison with other Liberator variants. Players choosing a loadout should wait for the equipment's actual in-game information before assuming that the Legacy version improves on a rifle they already use.
Check the activity window before assuming you missed it
The activity window determines eligibility; the award time determines when distribution begins. The announcement does not say eligible players must remain online until 23:59 CET.
The September timestamp is printed as CET in the official announcement. Keep that wording when comparing it with your own activity, particularly if a session fell close to the boundary. September normally uses summer time in much of Central Europe, so silently replacing the published zone with a different one would change the cutoff. Arrowhead has not explained that wording further in the announcement.
If you have not played during the window and want the gift, logging in during the October 26 celebration follows Arrowhead's advice. Keep the game updated before attempting to join friends. Our 7.2.0 update summary covers the recent anti-cheat change separately; the Liberty Day gift announcement does not promise to resolve connection or launch problems.
Ship decorations and community activities
For the celebration, Super Destroyer interiors receive banners, rugs and party decorations for 24 hours. These are part of the holiday presentation. The rifle is the announced equipment gift, so seeing temporary decorations should not be mistaken for confirmation that the weapon has already arrived in your inventory.
Arrowhead also lists returning community activities. Minidivers uses chat commands to fight waves of enemies, while Raise the Flag asks participants to salute together. The Oath of Enlistment provides a copy of the player's oath. Those three activities are marked as available to members of the official Discord server.
Adopt-a-SEAF is also listed among the community minigames. The official community page links the Liberty Day material and party-pack instructions. The listed Discord minigames are separate activities; the rifle footnote does not make them a condition of the equipment gift.
Physical rewards involve a purchase
The Super Merch programme works differently from the rifle gift. Completing selected achievements unlocks products for purchase. Reaching level 100 and earning the Hell Commander title qualifies for the Hell Commander Pin, while completing 75 missions qualifies for the Private Teddy Snuggles Plush. Neither description makes those products free physical giveaways.
The achievement criteria must be met by February 28, 2027 at 9:59 a.m. PT, and eligible orders must be placed within the programme's stated ordering window. Product and shipping restrictions still apply; the announcement specifically says the plush cannot ship to Japan at present. Check those terms before treating an unlocked item as something you can actually order.
Before ordering physical merchandise, check the store's price and shipping terms for your destination. The in-game rifle follows the separate activity window and distribution schedule above.
