Microsoft Jewel is available as a standalone app for iOS and Android, with Xbox Achievements and progress that can sync with its separate PC app. Sign in with a Microsoft account to keep progress connected. Game Pass benefits depend on your plan: Game Pass includes Premium benefits on PC, while Game Pass Ultimate extends them to mobile too. Microsoft explains the feature and tier differences in its Xbox Wire launch announcement.

Xbox Achievements come to mobile

Microsoft Casual Games describes Jewel as its fifth mobile app and its first new mobile launch in seven years. The release gives players a standalone way to play the match-three game on iPhone and Android, earn Xbox Achievements, and keep progress linked with PC. A Microsoft account is needed for the Xbox profile and cross-progression features.

Signing in lets mobile play add achievements to an Xbox profile. Jewel is a casual puzzle game, and its mobile app can still contribute to that account record alongside the PC app.

The puzzle itself keeps the familiar match-three loop. Combine three or more jewels to clear them and open space for another move. Bonus Jewels and power-ups can create longer matches and chain reactions, while Challenge Mode gives players a different board goal. Daily Challenges add a fresh task each day, so the mobile version can fit short sessions as well as longer attempts at a high score.

Progress follows your Microsoft account

Microsoft says Jewel syncs progress among the standalone iOS, Android and PC apps. Sign in on each version with the same Microsoft account to carry a game between devices. That lets someone play on a phone and pick up the same progress later on a computer.

The separate PC version matters here. Xbox Wire lists the standalone PC app alongside the mobile apps, and the Xbox Store also has a Microsoft Jewel listing. The achievement and sync features described for the standalone apps require a Microsoft account. They do not mean progress transfers to every game that contains Jewel, such as a different Microsoft Casual Games collection.

If you already play through Microsoft Solitaire Collection or the Xbox mobile app, note that Xbox Wire describes the new version as a separate app with its own sync path among mobile and PC. Check which app you opened and where you signed in before expecting the same progress in an older version.

Game Pass benefits vary by subscription

Xbox Wire draws a line between Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. Game Pass members receive Premium benefits on PC, including an ad-free experience and additional in-game benefits. Ultimate members receive those Premium benefits on both PC and mobile. A player using the mobile app should check their subscription tier before expecting the Premium mobile experience.

The standard app launch and the paid Premium benefits are separate details. Xbox's announcement presents the mobile apps as available to download, then describes which subscription unlocks Premium features on each platform. The App Store and Google Play pages list the app under Microsoft Corporation and describe daily challenges and Xbox Achievements.

Players mainly interested in achievements can install the app and sign in with a Microsoft account. The subscription distinction matters for Premium features such as ad-free play and extra in-game benefits. Xbox's post does not say that Ultimate is required to earn mobile achievements, so keep those two benefits separate when choosing a plan.

After installation, sign in with your Microsoft account if you want Xbox Achievements or synced progress. If you already use Jewel through a different Microsoft game collection, remember that this announcement concerns the standalone iOS, Android and PC apps. It does not say that those other versions share the same achievement or sync features.
