- Also new An iOS version, a minimal HUD option and a radial Multi-Tool selector accompany Forsaken.
No Man's Sky's Forsaken update lets players target nearby star systems directly from space, trade strange collectibles for corvette parts and try a less cluttered heads-up display. Hello Games released patch 7.11 on Steam for Anomaly teleporter and inter-system warp crashes, followed by 7.12 on PS5 for the Anomaly teleporter crash.
Before returning to a save, check which version is installed. The large Forsaken update is numbered 7.10. The smaller 7.11 patch fixes two specific problems on Steam. The October 30 notice separately announces 7.12 on PS5, so the version number and listed fixes need to be checked for your platform.
Direct star targeting changes the route to your next system
The Forsaken update notes describe nearby stars as destinations you can target from space. You can warp to those systems without first opening the Galaxy Map. If the current mission points to another system, its star can display the mission icon.
The change gives you a way to pick a nearby destination from the cockpit. Follow the ship's warp prompts; the announcement does not say you can reach every visible star through ordinary flight.
The official Forsaken trailer shows the broader update, including its new trading and ship-building features:
Hello Games also improved the camera transitions around warp tunnels and fixed several issues with battles appearing in the wrong position after travel. Those changes belong to the main update. The two crash fixes announced the following day are listed separately in patch 7.11.
Steam 7.11 and PS5 7.12 have separate patch notices
The October 29 patch notice identifies a crash that could happen when using the teleporter in the Anomaly and another while warping to a different system. These are the two fixes listed in that notice. It does not say that every crash or save problem has been resolved.
The October 30 patch notice says 7.12 is live on PS5 and will come to other platforms as soon as possible. It lists one fix: a crash when using the Anomaly teleporter. That PS5 notice does not separately list the inter-system warp fix from Steam's 7.11 notes.
Before returning to a save, check your installed version against your platform's patch notice. The Steam and PS5 notices list different fixes and rollout dates. Hello Games has not given a shared rollout hour for the remaining versions.
If the same problem persists after updating, the notice links to Hello Games' bug-report system. Include your platform, installed version and what you were doing when it happened. A reproducible description of an Anomaly teleport or a particular warp is more useful than treating every crash as the same issue.
Mementos give corvette builders a new reason to explore
Forsaken introduces haunting mementos in locations such as infested outposts, deep-space hulks, derelict freighters and planetary digsites. Collecting them can attract hostile boundary horrors. The items are part of a new trading loop, so check the surroundings and your supplies before spending a long session gathering them.
Forsaken traders can be summoned at space outposts. They exchange the collectibles for new corvette modules, including cockpits, habitation pieces and biomechanical structures. The notes also describe a Larva Cannon Multi-Tool bought with preserved grubs, plus a Larva Tank helmet appearance and Mind Harvester title for dedicated collectors.
These rewards are earned in-game. Hello Games does not give a single price covering every item the traders sell. Check the trader's requirements for the part you want before exchanging your stock of collectibles.
Interface options and the iOS release
The new minimal HUD setting reduces elements including the compass, hazard bars and mission notifications. Hello Games describes it as especially suited to experienced players. If you still depend on those indicators, try the setting somewhere familiar and check which information remains visible before heading into a dangerous area.
A radial menu now lets players select Multi-Tool modes directly. Space courier contracts, uploadable orbital bases and additional guidance for space scavenging are also included in Forsaken. These are useful changes to review before resuming an older building or exploration project.
Forsaken's release page also introduces the iOS version and links this official deep dive. It describes touch controls and engine work for mobile devices; it does not provide a guarantee of identical performance on every device.
For another current update with platform-specific caveats, our Metro Redux upgrade guide separates its console features from its Microsoft Store save warning. Check each game's own version notes before transferring expectations from one update to another.
