AT A GLANCE
- Main task Collect Moonflesh on Eris and trade it with Praghasa for event rewards.
- Who can join? Finish Vor's Prize; normal Eris Star Chart and Junction requirements are lifted for the event.
- Why return? Rewards include the Contegorus Armor Set, a Legendary Core and other equipment or cosmetics.
- Deadline The operation concludes November 17; check the in-game timer for its exact closing time.
- Separate quest The Tau Prologue stays permanently and requires The Hex plus The Old Peace.
Warframe's Epoch Operation: Taubound runs until November 17. Players gather Moonflesh on Eris and exchange it with Praghasa for rewards. Anyone who has completed Vor's Prize can access Eris during the operation, even if the normal Star Chart route is still locked.
The Tau Prologue is a separate piece of content with later quest requirements. You do not need to finish The Hex and The Old Peace just to take part in the Moonflesh event. Returning players can therefore join friends in the operation while catching up on the story at their own pace.
Pick the event route that matches your progress
The Taubound event page separates Eris participation from the permanent Prologue to Tau. Check your Codex before planning a session. If Vor's Prize is complete, look for the operation route; if your goal is the new prologue, check the two later quests it requires.
For a group at different points in the story, check which activity everyone wants to enter before starting a long quest chain. A player can qualify for the temporary operation while still having story content left before they can start the prologue.
Digital Extremes repeated that distinction in its October 30 reminder:
Gather Moonflesh, then choose what to exchange
The operation rules describe fixed Moonflesh rewards from Eris missions, additional opportunities through rotating Tactical Alerts and occasional drops from Infested enemies. Check which alerts are active when you play instead of assuming that a route recommended on a different day still has the same extra rewards.
Praghasa exchanges the resource for items including the Contegorus Armor Set, Vacis Amp Skin and Dhampyre Syandana. A Legendary Core is also on the list. Before settling into a long farming session, inspect the exchange and choose the reward you actually want to work toward.
The official teaser shows the operation's setting:
Note your target's displayed cost, then check how much Moonflesh a few of your own runs earn. A reward list alone cannot tell you how long your group will take, and the announcement does not supply a universal best farming rate for every loadout.
Spend with your account's priorities in mind
Browse the exchange before your first purchase, since its equipment and cosmetics compete for the same Moonflesh. Someone collecting appearances may value an armor piece more than another resource bundle, while a returning player may have a particular equipment goal in mind.
The event page also names the Haalvu Rifle and describes challenges for preparing your Vessel. Read the requirement attached to the activity you select. Sharing a page or a story connection does not make every reward part of the same task, and it is easy to follow a prologue objective when you meant to spend time on the operation.
Leave yourself time to visit Praghasa and make the exchanges. It is easier to check a balance and choose a reward before the final day than to discover an unfinished purchase plan as a countdown reaches zero. Follow any specific claim or exchange instructions displayed in the game.
The temporary event and permanent quest have different urgency
The October schedule lists Taubound from October 15 to November 17, while the announcement says the prologue remains in the Codex permanently. Digital Extremes also says this operation will not rerun. Plan the limited activity first if you want its event dialogue and rewards.
That does not require rushing through every story quest at once. A permanent quest can fit a later session, whereas an operation's window is fixed. For a returning player with limited evenings, separating those goals makes the choice of what to do next much clearer.
If you also play other seasonal events, keep each timer in its own note. Our reward-expiry guide covers how to distinguish an activity ending from a separate reward claim deadline. For Taubound, check the actual in-game countdown before planning your final session; the announcement supplies November 17 without an exact closing hour.
