Crossout’s October 22 update brings a broad graphics overhaul, the Whispers of the Wasteland seasonal event and a free login gift pack. The gift, called Munch’s Legacy, is available in the Garage through November 22. The event runs through November 18 and has a base reward track for all players, alongside additional rewards tied to paid packs. The update notes also warn that DirectX 11 support is ending, so PC players should check their graphics setup before launching.
What changes in Crossout Remastered
The update rebuilds terrain rendering, vegetation, lighting, shadows, water and particle effects. Crossout says landscape work moves more processing onto the GPU and adds denser grass, finer collision detail and more dynamic vegetation. These changes affect locations across the Wasteland.
Water and lighting receive their own updates. The notes describe moving waves, reflections, refraction and surface disturbances caused by vehicles and other in-game activity. Shadows, fog and global illumination are also being reworked. The notes give no before-and-after frame-rate figures or minimum hardware benchmarks, so the graphics list is not a performance guarantee.
Claim the Munch’s Legacy gift
The free gift pack is available in Crossout from October 22 through November 22, inclusive. To claim it, log in and use the gift in the right corner of the Garage screen. The package includes seven days of Premium, a Munch’s Legacy armored vehicle, a Growl cabin with McCampbell customization, three Mace shotguns, several movement and hardware parts, a portrait, decorations, paint cans, structural parts and an increase to the maximum number of parts.
The announcement says the gift is available because Adventure mode is unavailable for technical reasons for an indefinite period. It describes the pack as a way for players who had not claimed that mode’s unique rewards to receive them. The pack has a closing date, so it is worth checking the Garage before November 22 rather than assuming the gift stays in the account store.
Whispers of the Wasteland has free and paid rewards
The seasonal event and its packs run from October 22 through November 18, inclusive. Players earn event experience by completing challenges to unlock levels. Crossout says each day brings one main and one additional challenge, and unfinished daily challenges accumulate instead of disappearing at the next reset.
The base rewards are available to everyone. They include 50 in-game coins, a Scout’s container with a random legendary, epic or special part, Horror Show decor, epic workbench coupons, resource containers and Engineer badges. The exact random part is not guaranteed, so the container should not be read as a promise of a particular weapon or cabin.
Additional rewards marked with a lock icon require the standard or deluxe Whispers of the Wasteland pack. The deluxe edition immediately unlocks the next ten levels and the rewards for levels already unlocked. Players can follow the base track without buying either pack.
PC graphics settings to check
Crossout says DirectX 11 support ends with this update and recommends updating GPU drivers. The new rendering methods include DLSS 4.5 and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation on supported NVIDIA cards, NVIDIA Reflex and DLAA at native resolution. FSR 1 remains available, and FSR 3.1 is added without AMD Frame Generation. Crossout also says AMD drivers may switch from FSR 3.1 to FSR 4 through the AMD application.
Those options depend on hardware and driver support. The notes do not promise a single setting that suits every PC. After the update, check the game’s graphics menu, confirm that your GPU supports the option you select and adjust the quality preset if performance changes. Crossout’s Steam listing has the current PC requirements, and the October update preview explains which features were planned before the final notes appeared.

Read the update notes before changing settings
The graphics changes, free gift and seasonal event have separate end dates and requirements. Use the Crossout update announcement for the final item list, then check the Garage and event interface in game. The announcement does not include benchmark results, so frame-rate expectations should wait for comparable testing on specific hardware.
